6 ways to beat a sedentary lifestyle

1. Take a walk for at least 30 minutes every day. Perhaps walk laps at lunchtime instead of taking an hour to eat a sandwich.
2. Stand up at least every 20 minutes if you have a desk-bound job or any other occupational activity that requires you to sit.
3. Grab your runners and go for a run.
4. Do some gardening. Not only mentally and spiritually stimulating, but that it is a fantastic physical activity as well—one that can prevent obesity
5. At home, play your favourite tune and dance a little dance, have fun!
6. Make it a point to park a little farther away from your destination, so you have to walk a few steps more. Every step counts, and these extra steps will add up throughout the day to increase your overall physical activity.

The movement of the body has numerous benefits. Being fit reduces your risk for a heart attack, type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure. By moving your body you not only move the muscles and bones, but your internal organs get a soothing massage, you feel better, more vital and even younger!
